About Our Clinic
Safe Paws Animal Care Centre was founded out of one person's love for animals, Jamaica, and the desperate conditions many dogs live in on the streets of Negril.
This project has been a long time in the making. From one woman's dream in 2016, we have now reached the goal of raising enough funds to acquire a half acre of land slightly removed from Negril's town center.
Check out our site work page for updates as our building crew constructs a perimeter wall. The blueprints for the clinic building have been submitted to the Parish Council and we are now awaiting approval. With the help of people like you, we hope to begin work on the clinic once we've reached our next funding goal. This is only the beginning!
The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog.
A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near to his master's side.
He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer, he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he was a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains.
When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens.
